Carolyn’s Real Estate Career began in 1980 when she obtained her license from the Department of Housing and Community Development, which allowed her to design and sell Manufactured and Modular Housing.
In 1985 she became a Real Estate Agent during the Silicon Valley boom. Carolyn specialized in “unique” land purchases along the coastline of Northern California, during which time, she acted as liaison between government agencies for contractors seeking to develop custom homes in difficult to develop coastal areas.
After the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake, she and one of her clients began the “Housing Hotline,” which housed over 1000 families and individuals displaced from their homes. So impressed was it with the effectiveness of the “Housing Hotline” that the County Health and Human Services Department modeled it’s subsequent Disaster Relief programs on her template.
When Carolyn moved home to Southern California where she grew up, she joined her former colleague and successful Real Estate Broker, Susan Forster, who had opened an independent office in La Jolla. Susan’s forte and signature expertise is in executing 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges which dovetailed perfectly with Carolyn and her past experience, in order to serve their clientele all over California.
Carolyn loves people, which is why her best asset is listening to her clients needs and helping them to meet their financial goals.
Carolyn’s knowledge in Real Estate is remarkably multi-faceted. Having helped develop several “vanilla” retail spaces, executing long-term commercial building leases and sales, and managing retail and rental property, she has applied her knowledge of Sales and Marketing in nearly every county in California, always signing her work “with excellence”.
